What BFCSA Does...

BFCSA investigates fraud involving lenders, spruikers and financial planners worldwide.  Full Doc, Low Doc, No Doc loans, Lines of Credit and Buffer loans appear to be normal profit making financial products, however, these loans are set to implode within seven years.  For the past two decades, Ms Brailey, President of BFCSA (Inc), has been a tireless campaigner, championing the cause of older and low income people around the Globe who have fallen victim to banking and finance scams.  She has found that people of all ages are being targeted by Bankers offering faulty lending products. BFCSA warn that anyone who has signed up for one of these financial products, is in grave danger of losing their home.

We are just a number

From my personal experience with COSL, ASIC, ACCC, Attorney General's office, and the list goes on and on, and from the posts other members are writing it seems that to some these people we are just Case number: XXXXXX or in ASIC's opinion I am not even a consumer, so they cannot help me.

My question  is:  Why can't we (the ones who are able) set a date and march on the steps of ASIC, ACCC, to the state government  (just few ideas) and actually show these heartless people that we are more than a number, we have faces, we have children and family members who are suffering because of what has been done to us under their noses. This way we can attract media attention and by getting into their faces we are no longer a computer allocated number we are a human being.

I struggle with the idea that all these complaints now have to be done on line (and I am not saying not to make the complaint, I have lodged mine) but by these departments asking us to lodge a complaint on line and than wait takes the personal/human element out of these cases, we become a number.

I want these people to see who these lenders have defrauded. I want them to see my boys who have missed on more than 2 years of their mother's love and attention as I was more concerned with how to stop these lenders from taking their home away from them. I am sick and tired of being sent from "pillar to post" every time I make a phone call to find out who I  could actually talk that has the power to enforce the laws that have been broken by these guys and who actually has the power to do something. Do you think there is someone out there that is paid to police these laws and make these lenders (banks and non-bank lenders) accountable?

Please join me, I want to go to the parliament house in Brisbane (as I live near Brisbane), to ASIC's office and any other places we can think of to ask if someone has the guts to talk to us and put a face to our case number.  I want Mr Newman to talk to us (he is the Can Do man). well here is his chance to clean up the financial and credit industry in QLD of corruption.

We cannot sit behind desks looking at computer screens and making phone calls forever and a day as that is what they want us to do, hide and get depressed . No, we need to be proactive and get in their faces.

Your thoughts on this will be very much appreciated.

In an interesting brain storming session about this I had with a group of friends last night- the idea of a documentary style film being produced of people who are willing to share their experiences and evidence came up. In this option we could look at doing a Michael Moore style film, (eg Capitalism a Love Story or Farenheit 911) or like sixty minute segments. It would not cost much at all to do, (just using home camcorder would be sufficient - as long as the story is told - does not need elaborate camera work etc) or alternnatively here in Townsville we have a huge resource of Uni media study students who would be keen to take on this type of project on for free to gain experience and for their resumes'. We then can burn the stories on to CD'S and give them out for free to anyone and everyone.(free mass distribution) We could also capitalise on using the vast power of social media and publish it on U Tube etc. Anyway - Just an idea that is a possiblity to work with.. I am certainly open to this option and would not mind exploring it further !! Remember adding numbers together can become a powerful tool.

Yes we are a BIG NUMBER and growing daily

There are 360 politicians (approx) and 500 of us.
There are 36 lenders and 500 of us.
There are 100,000 families who are caught like you are Maria and they have voices and can grow in numbers. Banks can only diminish as the truth comes out.
Competition is a good things sometimes but not when it is breeding cheaters like rabbits.
