NABbed Nanna - Posted on Sunday, February 2, 2014

Our property was valued by Nab. According to the Country Bank Manager I originally applied to for the loan he stated that the valuation is only rated at 60% of the figures less any outstanding debts, which then gives you the figure you can apply for as a loan. This loan application was declined.  It was in our local area.  The assessor knew the business.

Nab managed to lose all trace of the loan application when challenged by FOS. Neither the hard copy nor the electronic copy could be found after some weeks of searching. It was apparently not reported as a declined loan in our Credit Report. Figure that on!!!!!

The Nab, Melbourne branch utilised the entire valuation amount and did not take off the outstanding debts including a Nab credit card for $ 25K. This manipulation then supposedly secured the business loan. Deceitful and devious trick.

We did not know this was going on at the time. We were stupid and trusted Nab's abilities. Nab took us down big time.

We now have no home and the saga has not finished yet some 8 months after eviction.

A family member was unilaterally added as part of the loan applicants and also as guarantor.
He did not apply for the loan nor was to be any part of the loan. One of the original applicants was dropped out of the deal.
Nab were totally confused, whether by design or accident. I believe by design. Nab were notified of this stuff up and said they would fix it up. Timing was a crucial factor in the fraud. Nab had had 2 months to gather themselves and provide the documents for signing. This was a business loan and the docs were sent only 3 days before settlement and take over. Had Nab simply made a phone call to confirm details and authenticate the details this would not have happened. It is deceitful way to do business and totally unprofessional and illegal. Scum of the earth Nab are.

Just disgusting isn't is yet they are still allowed to get away with it. Can you believe I have just had the second knock on the door within the past week from local R/E Agents seeking property listings telling me how hot the property market is and how it is just going to keep on rising! Took a lot of courage to politely say no thank you not interested in selling before closing the door. Afraid it's ruined my day knowing thanks to ANZ I have been reduced to renting with no hope of being able to buy anything let alone this house which nice as it is is not a patch on what my home was. Even worse I then went out to hose the garden to ease some angst to be told by the next door neighbour that the owner (property investor of course and foreign) picked this up a few years ago for a song from another victim just like myself who got out just in the nick of time before foreclosure!

Foreclosure is a long and distant thing for you I would think at the moment. Don't let the mongrels brow beat you into submission. If your convictions are strong keep fighting. We had sneaks around for months, just cruising past and sometimes stopping for a good sticky nose. Amazing how word gets out isn't it. I would think it comes from the process servers who are usually creepy sods. Must be real desperados because they always come in the worst vehicles and look like vagabonds except on the one occasion when the old guy with the floppy false teeth came in his fancy ford. Remember, he was the one I thought was going to drop dead in attempting to get out of his car. Blank as a brick wall!!!! Silly old thing. Should have been in a retirement village. Still funny when I think about it. Wish I had had a good dog at the time. Take on the bank and fight on. Go to court, if I can do it so can you all. It took 4 years to finally have the Order of Possession from the Supreme Court put in place. Lots can happen in 4 years. If you don't help yourself then who is going to help. Give yourself the advantage of stalling the banks attempts. Put the ball back in your court.!!!! You will be helping keep unemployment figures down by giving work to the lawyers acting for the banks. Now thats a classic isn't it. !!! Don't worry the cost of these Seagulls will deducted from the sale of your home. Yep thats how it goes. If you eventually fall into their traps and you do lose it all I don't think a the banks legal bill of $100k is going to make much difference.

Just got a second call within hours from the fraud sqaud.
I did have to repeat myself a few times.
Maladministration..... he got it in the end.
Yep.....they will come and see me and yes it sounds like your losns should never have been approved.
Now i will fear for my life now that cops will go knocking on the brokers door even though it was the bank that signed off on the loan.
Maybe i will be lucky and this frsud sqaud just might help.
Who knows, but i have to keep trying to save my families homes and be placed back in a financial position where i never met with the evil broker and banksters.....

What is an order of possission?
Was that from you or them ordering possession of your house?
This is all so new to me.
Not a new thing i wanted in my life at all.
I would rather a new bottle of wine.

Order of Possession is the final order made by the court to evict us from our home. The order was made in June 2012. This gives possession to the bank. A Sheriff then contacts you via mail usually first and then visits and makes a date to escort you from your home. We did not leave our home until 30th May 2013. I must say the Sheriff was really good and very understanding. Afterall 42 years is a long time to be in one home. I thought that my next move would have been in a pine box to the cemetery. Life is a mystery at times. We are country folks from Victoria so don't know about the other states.

Gfs,I lodged the completed fraud report at the front desk of our local police station, the constable said it would be forwarded onto a central fraud agency. Two years ago I went to lodge one and was told on the quiet by a fraud detective that due to funding and man power issues in NSW, that fraud is not a high priority, unfortunately the police have a lot to do with the little their allocated, I guess that's what the crooks and the banksters rely on.

Well Neil I have just put a visit to the local police station on my to do list for tomorrow. And guess what I got in the mail along with my credit card statement yesterday! So very cleverly shoved in the envelope along with another brochure one expects that the majority of people will just discard it as junk mail minus even reading it and discard to the rubbish bin. Sent a few other interesting emails off to 2GB this arvo. so if able try listening in come midnight. Now off to have a kip so I do NOT make the usual mistake of dozing off.

I put our complaint in to the Fraud Squad early November and recieved a reply early December. The Detective Sergent has asked for more info like answers to 17 questions. He said that before the matter can be considered for investigation, their assessment must be clear as to what actually occured during the process and must take a number of issues into consideration.

Hi GFs - yes on the list to do with all of them - if you live in Melb. (or anywhere in the world for that matter) one tune in to 2GB and listen live on the PC and they are right into podcasts also - one of the best if one wants to know the truths re anything. Can't tell you how many people call in from all over the world who say nothing like 2GB anyywhere. Have a friend whose relatives in the UK tune in daily for in the UK such talkback has been banned and for a good few years I believe. Beats watching TV any day for all we see and hear on that is only what they want us to see and hear
