What BFCSA Does...

BFCSA investigates fraud involving lenders, spruikers and financial planners worldwide.  Full Doc, Low Doc, No Doc loans, Lines of Credit and Buffer loans appear to be normal profit making financial products, however, these loans are set to implode within seven years.  For the past two decades, Ms Brailey, President of BFCSA (Inc), has been a tireless campaigner, championing the cause of older and low income people around the Globe who have fallen victim to banking and finance scams.  She has found that people of all ages are being targeted by Bankers offering faulty lending products. BFCSA warn that anyone who has signed up for one of these financial products, is in grave danger of losing their home.

BFCSA: FOUR CORNERS TONIGHT - CBA call bank fraud "inappropriate" Senator BISHOP slam dunks CBA in Parliamentary Senate Hearing into ASIC watch 8.30pm TONIGHT

One of the best Four Corners programs on Banks' bad attitude to customer relations as a result of ADELE FERGUSON's investigations into Commonwealth Bank and ASIC cover ups will be shown on ABC FOUR CORNERS TONIGHT 8.30pm.

Please don't miss it.  Its a message to all Brokers YOU COULD BE NEXT as more of these activities are exposed.  BUT keep open mind................Banks were the MASTERMINDS of all this Mortgage Lending Chaos and the Bankers developed the strategies to fleece customers of assets.

The Banks are operating as a CARTEL and BFCSA has amassed the evidence by gathering together 1200 people in similar circumstances.

The reason that SENATOR BISHOP became justifiably angry at the CBA chief using the word to describe certain activities "as inappropriate behaviour," when discussing fraud and forgery and his anger followed in later questioning of ASIC Chief GREG MEDCRAFT and ex IOSCO sidekick Greg Tanzer.

In appropriate is an inappropriate word to be used when dealing with FRAUD, FORGERY and extremely deceitful money strategies.  Let us start calling a SPADE a SPADE.

The reason the bankers use the word INAPPROPRIATE is because the activity we are all referring to is regarded in law as a CRIMINAL OFFENCE.

The activities described on Four Corners tonight is only the TIP OF THE ICEBERG.....................the entire banking system is in need of a clean out and at the very least A ROYAL COMMISSION INTO the obvious BANKING CARTEL that exists here in Australia in relation to MORTGAGE LENDING: Low Docs, Full Docs, No Docs and every other hideous version developed by the banks and aided and abetted by the use of the broker channel as agents of the banks and the use of the dreaded SERVICE CALCULATOR.

Banksters have become an ELITE GROUP of KLEPTOMANIACS but first the long suffering public need to stop Parliament being misused by the very criminals that set up our very own submerged SUB PRIME LENDING CARTEL driven by elitist bankers bent on GREED.  These obvious criminal activities, the shredding of vital documentation, the cover-ups, the polite words to Senators, has spawned an era in Australia's history that has seen the worst financial planning advice invading every household in some form or another.  Its a diabolical grand plan, driven by bank paid commissions to ensure we are all MIRED IN DEBT.

Only a Royal Commission will allow us as a nation to even start repairing the long term damage to the economy.  We have all ignored the elephant in the room since 1996.  We have all been kept in the dark like MUSHROOMS.

Four Corners deserves a medal for taking on the story of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and its dirty secrets and now for the rest of the stories on all the Majors and their subsidiaries and non bank lenders that have made massive profits from FRAUD AND FORGERY.

Our people need to wrap a YELLOW RIBBON around the whole of Australia and call it a Banker Crime Scene.  The Senate delivers its report at the end of May re its probe into our useless and insipid Australian Securities and Investment Commission that have licked Bank Boots for far too long.

Change is long overdue in the banking sector.  We need to see Lenders being hauled over the bonnet of Federal Police cars, handcuffed, exposed on the nightly news bulletins and then led away for execution of sentencing of minimum 30 years each for their crimes.  The Chairman of ASIC, its deputies and commissioners ought to also be included on the bank raid LIST.

Then on the list of repairs is the formation of  CONSUMER PROTECTION BUREAU with a crack unit of SERIOUS FRAUD OFFICERS be placed on Parliamentary agenda as an extreme emergency.  We suggested this as RECA in 2001.

Adele Ferguson hit the nail on the head with this episode of Four Corners! Yes of course its the banks the banks. Even Jeff Morrison agreed the culture was bank problem all the way to the top. Now there should be a similar program on Westpac, and then ANZ and then the Nabbers at NAB!!! Our banks are making money for shareholders, but its really about greed and making money for the Bank Robber Banker executives. What a mess when Senator Bishop had to use Parliament to whack the lawyer for CBA over the inappropriate use of the word "inappropriate" to describe CBA's internal criminal behaviour in fudging documents after the signatures have been obtained, of fraud and forgery, of misleading and deceptive conduct. The CBA lawyer was even lying to Parliament..........as per his pathetic attempt to excuse the criminal activity of his employer....the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. d[email protected]

I wrote to the Prime Minister in 1999: "How is ripping off senior citizens and allowing villains to reduce their retirement funds to ashes good for our economy? Those who scrimped and saved to never be a burden on society are now having to face queues at centrelink. How is that good for the economy?" I received the usual reply: "Thank you Ms Brailey for your continued interest in these matters." Now 15 years later, we not only have a few thousand villains but we have the four major banks as the ring masters. Bankers have become the Bank Robbers. [email protected]

Abbott trying to sell his ideas for reform to the people what about starting with criminal activity by Banks

They the pollies yet again take the big stick to students and education the pensioners and retirement age and lets apply another tax and call it a levy. When will they start bringing criminal activity into line, Banks selling crooked products to the unsuspecting public is no different than a drug dealer setting up a meth lab and selling an illegal product to children. I can see a whole lot of people saying right now oh you cant compare the two, well I beg to differ you can, they are both selling products that in essence are illegal and criminal and there will be just as many lives lost to this Bank Fraud as to illicit drugs. Both of these activities need the same amount of time dedicated to them by our law makers, drugs are a huge issue in our community but so too is the loss of decent peoples life savings and their family homes to illegal financial products. Give everything the same amount of resources to get to the truth pollies.

    Great investigation by Adele Ferguson.
"Inappropriate" - good on you, Senator Bishop. About time Australians all dumped the rubbish talk that so many lawyers use to cover up dirt and scandal. Describing what happened to all those victims of financial planning fraud as "inappropriate" is like calling cold blooded murder "an indiscretion with a weapon"!
I agree with you, Toni B. No point in pretending about the impact of the kind of crimes we've uncovered involving greedy banks. It is only by examining the real facts and calling a spade a spade, like Aussies used to do so well, that we can ensure the resources are there to prevent further similar crime and to attend promptly and honestly to those adversely impacted by fraudulent financial products, the engineers and the dealers. Yes, this problem is way bigger than drug problems in this country. The extent of the problem has only just started to emerge from the murky cover-up swamp.

Financial Services Union comment on Four Corners program

Last night's ABC Four Corners program Banking Bad shone a light on the pressure cooker working environment driven by the sales and targets-driven culture in the Australian finance sector.

It is a culture that pits workers against one another and creates incredible stress for the people who work in the industry. It is a culture that puts the interests of most finance workers and customers last.

Most finance workers genuinely care about providing excellent and professional service to customers and providing advice and products that are in their best interests. Finance workers want to work in an industry that they can be proud of.

They want to be able to earn enough to live a decent life and stay out of financial distress, without working hours and hours of unpaid overtime or missing out on time with family and friends because they're working back to make another sale.

They want to be able to do their job without the constant threat of losing that job if they don't follow the script to the letter or aren't aggressive enough in pushing yet another product on the nice old lady who comes in to the branch every Thursday.

It is the conflicted and insecure pay systems imposed by finance sector employers that are the root cause of the cases like those identified in the Four Corners report.

The FSU campaigned for Future of Financial Advice (FoFA) reforms to stop these behaviours - reforms that employers in our industry fought against and continue to fight against.

Employers in our industry should guarantee that frontline staff are never forced to choose between meeting a sales target and acting in a customer's best interests.

Our finance sector has the capacity and the profitability to pay decent wages and move away from pay models that don't benefit workers or the customers they serve.

Employers can and should provide secure pay to all finance workers and recognise their professionalism and the value of the work they do.

The Australian finance sector can be much better than this. Let's work together and make it happen.

CBA tellers raise concerns about a statement aired by Four Corners

I would like to let our CBA members know that the union has written to Four Corners (http://www.fsunion.org.au/ABC-Four-Corners-Banking-Bad.aspx )this morning to make the point that the union is not aware of any instance where a teller gets a $400 bonus for a single referral to a financial planner. I have asked the program producer to publish a statement on their website that clarifies the information that was broadcast about commissions paid to tellers and corrects any errors.

I invite all CBA members to tell their side of the story by getting involved in the FSU's inquiry into targets, workloads and staffing at the Commonwealth Bank, by completing this online submission form(https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/cbatargets) We want to hear from as many CBA workers as possible and we are particularly keen to hear about the lengths workers are going to in order to meet performance expectations. Please take a few minutes to share your story.

    FSU National Secretary

After 20 years of banking with them I tried getting a new card last year, needless to say I gave up and the whole process would make a Fawlty Towers episode look boring. Recently my account was overdrawn by $150 so I was slugged with a $10 "Approval Fee".

Fine, even though I feel personally that this is outrageously excessive, I'll accept that first fee because it was my own fault for not having sufficient funds in said account. Afterwards I was billed 23 cents interest on the overdrawn amount which of course is justifiable as I've got your money.... See More

Commbank, I'm genuinely surprised by your failure to address the numerous customer posts driven by the Four Corners program. This may be "old news" to you, and has been widely reported in the media, but for many of your customers the Four Corners story would be the first time they have been made aware of the case. If you are going to have an online media presence and strategy then it seems advisable to have one which includes managing negative reporting. Perhaps your online media agency hasn't been briefed but frankly failure to do so is not acceptable these days. Silence is not a productive method of managing customer concerns.

Put in Commonwealth bank into Facebook search engine and it comes up with loads of options since last nights four corners expose. Some bright spark in marketing trying to deflect rightful community anger against the bank. Shame on you bankers! Accept that you are a bunch of unethical unevolved people who should make reparations properly to your wronged customers. Or will that interfere with your bonuses?

Rorb White When the floods hit brissy, Suncorp were the only good insurance companies who would actually make payouts to people who lost their homes. They didn't care if the water rose up from the ground or fell from the sky. A flood was a flood to them and they didn't try and beat people out of their policies on a technicality. So I think they are the only good insurance suppliers in the market.

Does Commonwealth actually succeed in these services they provide customers? Recently I conplained about the lack of ability to provide a up to date kaching service. I had also had to call like two or three months ago regarding these cash deposit atm's... clever idea if the atm ever actually worked after 5pm. I dont know how many times ive been to a branch to deposit the money at ashfield nsw and once in two or three months it has functioned. Should I be driving suburb to suburb in the hope that there is a functioning cash deposit atm?...

I am watching Four Corners about the unconscionable conduct of this bank and Don Nguyen. I am so disgusted, bad sadly, not surprised to hear about the lives destroyed, the lies told and the disgraceful actions of the financial planners the Commonwealth Bank employs. I would never go back to this institution, and warn others who read this not to trust anything this bank promises them.

So I think they are the only good insurance suppliers in the market.

just finished watching 4 corners on Combank. your behaviour is beyond expalnation. i have products with you, but not for much longer. i hope customers desert you in droves. its what your behaviour deserves. the only decent thing to do is compensate customers caught up in your systematic rorting, fire dodgy don and stop his insurance payments (unless of course he has valuable info that would implicate high level management) and senior executives need to be held accountable. As for Ross Stevens u should all hang your head in absolute disgrace.
