What BFCSA Does...

BFCSA investigates fraud involving lenders, spruikers and financial planners worldwide.  Full Doc, Low Doc, No Doc loans, Lines of Credit and Buffer loans appear to be normal profit making financial products, however, these loans are set to implode within seven years.  For the past two decades, Ms Brailey, President of BFCSA (Inc), has been a tireless campaigner, championing the cause of older and low income people around the Globe who have fallen victim to banking and finance scams.  She has found that people of all ages are being targeted by Bankers offering faulty lending products. BFCSA warn that anyone who has signed up for one of these financial products, is in grave danger of losing their home.

Reference is made to your correspondence to the Australian Federal Police (AFP) dated 30 August 2012.

The AFP is the primary law enforcement agency responsible for investigating crimes against the Commonwealth of Australia. From the information you have provided, it appears that no applicable Commonwealth offences have been committed and therefore the matters raised cannot be investigated by the AFP. You may wish to obtain independent legal advice to clarify this.

You may wish to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service who provide dispute resolution for consumers and financial service providers. The link to that website is

We had the EXACT same standard 'FOB OFF' letter.
1)You have to make an appointment to speak to the senior detective that investigates fraud.
2)Go to the AFP in person with a written 'Formal Complaint' of fraud, in writing.
3)Take a single page cover letter, (use Denise's template letter as the cover page letter) and take copies of your fraudulent LAFs with the fraudulent bits highlighted.
4)We did this and have now had 2 formal interviews with the Criminal Investigations Branch and the detective sargeant investigating the fraud has prepared a detailed 16 page statement & affadavit which I had to sign as a legal document.

Next step. The CIB will now get warrants to investigate the bank and the brokers.

DO IT. The more people that do this, the more this fraud will come out into the open.

I wonder if they will investigate FOS for their fraudulent actions to accept and support all that the Banksters tell them. The referral to FOS by the AFP is a joke as FOS will not do anything except provide excuses why they won't act against this Fraud.
I wrote a second letter telling them that their form letter implies and supports that FRAUD is NO Longer a Crime in Australia.......but they are closing the matter and go to FOS. Who are the POLICE Protecting; not the Citizens of Australia only Corporate Greed !

Hi Geoff, Kyle is suggesting to go to the AFP in person and this is what Wayne has done and both are having some positive results. EVERYBODY SHOULD DO THIS TO PROVE THESE FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES ARE RAMPANT.

I am currently talking to the AFP too. And ASIC, (they have been keen to get the information I have for the last seven weeks - only because they are already going after this person), but my solicitor refuses to give them everything as of yet).

Is there an AFP in Perth? It seems to be that you have to get on to the right person. I have read varying opinions as to the effectiveness of FOS. My dispute is with them at the moment. Nothing has resolved as yet but I am hoping it's not a waste of time.

AFP 619 Murray ST West Perth 08 93203444. Lodging a complaint with the AFP should not affect your dispute with Fos - rather it should strengthen the issue i would assume. Does anybody know the name of anyone in particular to make the appointment with?

Good to hear: sounds more hopeful, especially if it strengthens the case with FOS :)
I wonder how COSL would cope with a borrower's "maladministration" turning into a real "fraud" investigation, thanks to the AFP involvement? Maybe that would break the blinkered thinking at COSL :D
